Event 1
Hearth Experience (Grilled Ayu Fish)
Every day, up to 80 people
Ayu ¥500 yen (+tax)
Free drink ¥500 (＋tax)
Gather around the hearth, and conversations naturally flow. Local fishermen grill Ayu fish from the Nagara River on the spot. Grilled over the hearth, the Ayu is crispy on the outside and tender inside. Enjoy a delicious encounter.

Bath Topping-Out Ceremony

Assemble pillars and beams handcrafted by artisans. Witness the carpenters lifting materials using traditional methods. Also, notice the Gifu Prefecture wood finished through natural drying.

Art Gallery Exhibition

Created by the workshop “Fu-an”
Modern art as ‘JIKU Axis-Tapestry Exhibition.’ The contemporary style of axis art, made from items like Japanese Tenugui towels and grandma’s kimonos, suits modern interiors. Dialogue with the artists is possible, and custom axis creations are also available.

Wood Difference Experience Natural Drying Wood vs. Artificially Dried Wood

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Compare the color, gloss, aroma, and essential oil content differences by cutting and handling naturally dried wood and wood dried in large kilns. Take home Hinoki wood chips as a souvenir.
